Whitehaven beach is the most beautiful beach in Australia. It is known for its crystal clear aqua water and pristine silica sand that stretch over 7 kilometres along Whitsunday islands (a collection of continental islands of various sizes off the central coast of Queensland). It is also the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsunday.  The aerial view of Whitehaven displays its true splendour and its coastline is like pastel lace twirled around the white finger of the beach.

Whitehaven defines nature at its very best and provides the greatest sense of relaxation and escape from my busy world. A soon as I arrived at Whitehaven, I was really mesmerized by its beauty and I have proven to myself why it is the most photographed beach in Australia and has been named as the “Queensland’s Most Beautiful Beach”.

You can reach Whitehaven beach through ultra-fast, modern ferries, cruising yachts, helicopters and seaplanes while some sailing companies offer daytrips or overnight charters to Whitehaven including a stop over to the outer of Great Barrier Reef.

Whitehaven is usually a day trip because there are no hotels, resorts or amenities on the beach due to its National and Marine Park status. However, camping packages can be purchased for a leisurely pace and it gives the opportunity to explore the Whitsunday islands. While a ferry trip is there and back with only few hours of waiting.

I really enjoyed the service of the luxurious Whitehaven as it provides a smooth, quite, safe and effortless cruising while we explore Sydney Harbour, the Whitsunday Islands. It provides a truly five star comforts and exciting modern international cuisine which completed my relaxing cruising experience at Whitehaven.

Located at the northern end of Whitehaven beach is the Hill Inlet, a magnificent cove where tide shifts the sand and water to create a stunning fusion of colors. I never missed a walk to lookout on Whitsunday Island where I took the advantage of the best views of both Whitehaven beach and Hill Inlet.

Parts of the incredible landscape of Whitehaven are the dolphins which are surrounded by islands and tropical forest, extremely fine and white sand and warm clear water. Beyond sunbathing and sea bathing, all kinds of water sports especially snorkelling can be enjoyed on Whitsunday.

I must admit, this experience was one of the best vacations we have ever had. With all these amazing pleasures, Whitehaven is truly a must-see heavenly place to visit and enjoy.
