St Ives, Cornwall
For anyone who has ever visited St Ives in Cornwall, it will come as no surprise to learn that it has been rated as one of the best beach resorts in Europe. The sea which surrounds St Ives is crystal clear with highly trained coastguards always on standby to ensure that everyone can relax safe in the knowledge that they are being well looked after.
This part of the UK is blessed with a micro climate which is the envy of many other coastal resorts, it is usually a few degrees warmer than the more northern UK resorts and many people comment that a holiday in St Ives really does feel like you are holidaying abroad, only without the hassle of the long waits at the airports etc.
There is far more to St Ives than the beach though, and for anyone with a love of art there is the Tate Gallery, situated by the sea, the gallery has been cleverly designed to incorporate the stunning views which surround it and visitors often comment that these views take their breath away every time that they see them.
The cream teas that this part of the world is famous for should also be experienced, you should be aware though that they are extremely fattening and there is a good chance that you will want to sample these culinary delights more than once during your stay!
After a long day on the beach there is a wide selection of bars and restaurants to relax in along with a great choice of hotels and boarding houses which will be only to happy to accommodate you. St Ives really is somewhere which is very special indeed, and it is no wonder that visitors keep on going back there year after year.
