The Beach at Padstow is accessible from the North of the town and stretches from St Georges Cove to Harbour Cove and Hawkins Cove. This stretch of sand is absolutely breath taking and as you would expect there are many sporting activities that the visitors can take part in as well as just relaxing in the sun.
Whilst Padstow has always been a popular Cornish holiday beach destination it has become more well known in recent years due to the popularity of the acclaimed chef, Rick Stein. He owns several businesses in the area including a restaurant and a fish and chip shop and it would be fair to say that Steins love of sea food has definitely paid dividends for the popularity of the area.
He is absolutely passionate about Padstow and his love of the area is often mentioned in his television programmes which in turn tempts people to visit Padstow for themselves. This is obviously great news for the businesses in the area and good news for the visitors themselves because they to can experience everything that Padstow has to offer.
You should be warned that if you are visiting Padstow Beach and need to park your car, Padstow itself is very busy so it is a good idea to look for alternative parking.
You may have heard of a village in Cornwall called Rock, this place is famous for its visitors from London including the Royal Family, well, Rock is reached from Padstow by using the ferry service from Padstow harbour.
A beach holiday in Padstow is favoured by many, not just for the glorious beach but also for the attraction of Padstow village and the beautiful and varied surrounding area which means that whatever your tastes, Padstow really is an ideal holiday destination.
