Corfu which means “city of the peaks” is one of Greece most popular islands that attract thousands of visitors every year. It is located at the northern most island of the Ionian group and lies at the entrance of the Adriatic Sea.

Corfu has a unique kind of climate that makes my visit unforgettable. It has also good quality network of roads that cover the entire island. There are 2 central bus stations and 3 taxi ranks to choose from. One is located at the San Rocco Square where I took my trip in going to the beach.

Corfu has good accommodation to its tourists and visitors. It has wide range of hotels, villas and rooms situated in Corfu town and on the main resorts where all splendid beaches are located. You can stay at Dina’s Paradise Hotel located at Agios Gordios which is near the airport.

Corfu is known for its stunning beaches which have been awarded by the Blue Flag, the European guarantee for their cleanliness. It is also one of the reasons why I planned my trip at Corfu. All beaches there offer sun beds and umbrellas rentals as well as water sports facilities. I really enjoyed staying in one of the most beautiful beaches, the Agios Georgios. It is a 5km beach, surrounded by green hills and located approximately 30km south of the island’s capital. It offers impressive rock formations and a long sandy beach that get crowded as it hosts the popular Pink Palace Hotel.

Corfu is one of the liveliest islands as it offers a wide variety of bars and night clubs. All night life activities are located in the beach resorts of the island such as Kavos, Roda and Dassia. It attracts many people who want to have some drinks while dancing and partying all night.

Since dining is one of my interests when I make trip to different countries, I did not miss eating in one of the fancy restaurants in the place. One of the restaurants where I took my dinner was at Janice Restaurant at Kassiopi. The foods and services are excellent. There is a large range of fresh fish, sea fruits and traditional Greek foods including lobster in special sauce and scampi in garlic metaxa sauce.

Corfu is really a worth place to visit and to relax together with your family. It is the perfect place in Greece where you can enjoy the ultimate beach experience!
