Swanage, Dorset

Swanage is often referred to as the gem of the Dorset coast and marks the eastern end of the world famous Jurassic coastline. Swanage beach is a great place for families with children being especially well catered for. There all of the usual amusements etc to keep them amused but the safety aspect is especially important.

There are adequate toilet facilities with the main toilets being directly opposite the main part of the beach and the local council do a great job of keeping everything clean and tidy.

Shanklin, Isle Of Wight

The beautiful resort of Shanklin is situated on the south east corner of the Isle of Wight and has been a favourite holiday destination for many people over the years.

It has a lovely beach which is safe for bathing and swimming with coastguards keeping a watchful eye to ensure that there are not any problems. The great thing about the beach at Shanklin is that it is protected from the wind by Dunnose Point with the imposing cliffs of Luccombe and St Boniface Downs near by.

Padstow, Cornwall

The Beach at Padstow is accessible from the North of the town and stretches from St Georges Cove to Harbour Cove and Hawkins Cove. This stretch of sand is absolutely breath taking and as you would expect there are many sporting activities that the visitors can take part in as well as just relaxing in the sun.

Whilst Padstow has always been a popular Cornish holiday beach destination it has become more well known in recent years due to the popularity of the acclaimed chef, Rick Stein. He owns several businesses in the area including a restaurant and a fish and chip shop and it would be fair to say that Steins love of sea food has definitely paid dividends for the popularity of the area.

Woolacombe, Devon

Woolacome is a beautiful part of North Devon and an ideal family holiday destination and it is no coincidence that Woolacombe holds the ‘England for Excellence Gold Award’ for family holidays. The beaches at Woolacombe are absolutely stunning and they go on for miles and miles.

If there was anything negative to say about the beaches at Woolacome it would be that you often have to walk out quite a way to reach the sea but that is only a minor point because what the beaches have to offer really is something else.

St Brelade, Jersey

St Brelade is situated on the South Western Part of Jersey and is famous for its beautiful beaches. St Brelade’s Bay is popular with all ages, from the children playing on the golden sandy beach all the way to the pensioner snoozing in the deck chair, St Brelades’s Bay has always been a firm favourite and it is not at all difficult to see why.

For anyone whose idea of a great day does not involve lying on the beach all day there are plenty of other things to keep them occupied here. There are many great restaurants and cafés that are able to cater for all tastes, from a simple bowl of chips all the way to an elegant meal with fine wines to match.

Tenby, Pembrokeshire

Tenby is often referred to as the prettiest seaside town in Wales and there would be very few visitors to the resort who would argue with that.

Bournemouth can boast of over seven miles of stunning beaches which mean that you can choose a busy beach with lots of atmosphere and fun and games or a quiet part of the beach where you will hardly see anyone for most of the day.

Bournemouth is a favourite for so many people and it is one of those places where old age pensioners and youngsters are happy in each others company and you will see people snoozing in their deckchairs alongside people playing beach volleyball as well as a variety of other sports.
