Bournemouth, Dorset

Bournemouth can boast of over seven miles of stunning beaches which mean that you can choose a busy beach with lots of atmosphere and fun and games or a quiet part of the beach where you will hardly see anyone for most of the day.

Bournemouth is a favourite for so many people and it is one of those places where old age pensioners and youngsters are happy in each others company and you will see people snoozing in their deckchairs alongside people playing beach volleyball as well as a variety of other sports.

Another favourite for many visitors to Bournemouth are the beach huts which are available to rent. The older variety are basically like wooden sheds which are lined up along the beach front but the fun that can be had should not be underestimated.

These huts can be rented by the day or by the week and there are also a selection of modern beach huts which are known as ‘pods’. Many of these beach huts have simple cooking facilities in them so it is ideal for making a cup of tea or also using them to relax in the shade.

There are beach offices situated along the entire seven miles of Bournemouth beaches and these staffed offices are able to supply any information that is required along with the higher of deckchairs, parasols and windbreaks etc.

There are ample toilet facilities which are of a very high standard so you will never have to walk far which is always a plus point for the elderly and families with young children.

The beaches at Bournemouth also have some breathtaking views over to the Isle of Wight and there are also beaches which allow dogs, with cycle paths along the coastline along with areas of beach which allow barbecues, so there really is something for everyone on the beaches of Bournemouth.

Thanks for reading my top ten beaches in the world blog and whether you are looking for planning your holiday of a lifetime or just looking for a short break you have found the place to be.

To your beach heaven
